Date Shake-Shake-Shake, Señora

This one is inspired by a traditional Palm Springs treat – and one of our favorites: the date shake. We’ve seen some dressed up with vanilla bean gelato (as we recommend below), which adds an extra creamy richness – but the ones that really make our hearts flutter are the ones amped up with a shot of espresso. So, adding JoeFroyo to our traditional date shake recipe was a no-brainer. The protein and probiotics? Those are freebies. You’re welcome.

INGREDIENTS:
6-8 Dates, Coarsely Chopped

1 Cup Ice Cold JoeFroyo

1.5 Cups Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (or Gelato)

¼ teaspoon of nutmeg (or cinnamon)

STEPS:
Combine chopped dates and JoeFroyo into a blender and blend until smooth and frothy. Add ice cream and pulse until blended. Top with nutmeg.
